High-Capacity Column for the Analysis of Inorganic Anions and Oxyhalides Including Bromate
Specifically designed for trace bromate in drinking water, the Thermo Scientific? Dionex? IonPac? AS9-HC column is the specified column for U.S EPA Methods 300.1 and 317.0.
-
For the analysis of oxyhalides and inorganic anions in complex sample matrices
-
Simple, isocratic method for trace bromate (5 μg/L) in ozonated drinking water matrices
-
Ideal for difficult applications, such as trace nitrite in complex sample matrices
-
Improved separation of bromate/chloride, chloride/nitrite, chlorate/nitrate analyte pairs
The
Dionex IonPac AS9-HC column is a high-capacity carbonate eluent
anion-exchange column with selectivity similar to the Dionex IonPac
AS9-SC column. The Dionex IonPac AS9-HC column also supports the
analysis of oxyhalides and inorganic anions, including fluoride,
chlorite, bromate, chloride, nitrite, bromide, chlorate, nitrate,
phosphate, and sulfate. The Dionex IonPac AS9-HC column is specified in
validated methods such as U.S. EPA Method 300.1 and 317.0 and meets or
exceeds the performance requirements of these methods.
This column
separates trace bromate in drinking water matrices using an isocratic
carbonate eluent and a large-loop injection. The Dionex IonPac AS9-HC
column also offers good retention of fluoride out of the water dip. The
column’s high capacity (190 μeq for 4 × 250 mm column) increases
retention time to approximately 22 min. Use the Thermo Scientific Dionex
Anion Electrolytically Regenerating Suppressor (AERS 500) with the
Dionex IonPac AS9-HC column.
The Dionex IonPac AS9-HC column is
offered in three formats: standard bore (4 × 250 mm), microbore (2 × 250
mm), and capillary (0.4 × 250 mm). The capillary format is packed with
the same material as the equivalent standard bore version (providing the
same performance as a 4 mm column), but requires only 1/100th the
eluent flow rate. The capillary format provides the advantage of
significantly reduced eluent consumption with helps reduce the operating
costs.
Note: The Thermo Scientific Dionex IonPac AS23 column is
the newest carbonate eluent column recommended for the analysis of
oxyhalides including bromate.
